Bill Bertrand, Education Consultant and Blended Learning Specialist
Bill is the former deputy superintendent of alternative education for the Chaffey Joint Union High School District in Southern California. Over the course of five years there, he developed and implemented one of the most successful district-wide blended learning models in California. That initiative involved founding the Chaffey Online Learning Academy (COLA), which served diverse student groups who typically perform better outside of traditional classrooms. These groups included independent studies, special education, alternative education, and expelled or suspended students. The programs led to dramatically improved attendance and graduation rates across the district. Bill is widely respected in California for his passion, experience, and expertise in online and blended learning.
